Dear Mrs. Underwood,

Based on your preceding letter about the inquiring of notification from Northridge Cutlery Company. First, we would like to apologize for failing to notify you. We are sorry that your order still can not be shipped at the moment caused by a strike of local truckers. We are attempting to overcome this problem. We will notify you again when we have gotten the solution to overcome this problem.

While we are attempting to overcome this problem, we would like to restate that you have ordered two dozen poultry shears. To compensate for the delay, we give 40% discount as our apology.
